Oh, and by the way...

My friend, James, that I talked about a couple of weeks ago is feeling much better and trying to figure out how to get the medical release necessary to come back to work. I doubt that he'll get it, but the fact that he's trying says an awful lot about God's graciousness and power. I'm praying that he can continue baffling the doctors and team at MD Anderson. They don't quite know what to think of him. :)

Callie just wants to say...

Happy Summer!

And the mama just wants to say: yes, that is a ginormas bruise on the baby's forehead. Actually, it's two of 'em, one right on top of the other. There are three more hidden my the Super Cute Floppy Hat. I'm going to probably have a heart attack before she fully learns how to walk.

Indulge me, wouldya?

I have a sitemeter down at the bottom. Every now and then, I take a peek to see if anyone's visiting, and if they are, how they found me.

I notice that there are some regularish* visiters - some that I know, some that I don't. For instance, someone from Germany checks in on a regular-ish basis. And I know that there are some bbc girls. And a certain Aunt-o-Callie. But only like 4 girls that ever comment. Unless you count my two anonymouses**.

Leave me a comment, wouldya? Say Hi, say I'm brilliant, say my babe's the cutest thing ever. Say something so I don't feel like I'm talking to myself. Just don't say anything mean. I like to think that the World is Nice.
*As regular as a sporadic poster can possibly expect. Let's say there are visitors that visit more often than I post...
**Is there a correct plural form of anonymous? No? Because "anonymous" is an adjective, not a noun? Oh.

Because I feel bad for neglecting you...

Because there's not much prettier than a sleeping baby, and the pj's say "a little bear bum" and I think it's cute. :)
Puppy prints on the outside, baby prints on the inside...
Trying on her life jacket for an upcoming family getaway...
"I see you!"
Walking! (Don't mind the mess... I put it there on purpose, as an obstacle course!)

Yeah, I'm a Bad Mama

and forgot all about Callie's "I'm EIGHT months old!" post. Sorry. Here it is.
She's crawling like a mad woman. She pulls up on everything in sight. She's eating a myriad of wonderful foods (mostly for the babysitter.) She's still nursing wonderfully. She does not babble. At all. She screeches and coos and "whispers" and makes any noise you can possibly make using all vowels. She's awake to nurse 2-3 times a night, generally every 3 hours. Her favorite friends are Zachie (the 4 yo that goes to Tommy and Betty's with her) and any animal that will get close enough for her to touch.

Here she is, in her OSU shirt, because cool chicks DO wear orange. My friend Stacie got it for Callie while she was still gestating. Stacie's son, Cash, who is six weeks younger than Callie, has one that says "Cool Chicks Dig Me". Yes, we're brainwashing them early. Get 'em while you can, right?
See the Doggie?

Please pray with me

......for my friend, James. He's my age, has three little kids, and has the biggest, most steadfast faith of almost anyone that I know.
2 1/2 years ago, he was given six months to live. A year ago, he was declared "healthy". At Christmastime, they found another brain tumor. Today, he signed the DNR. He's in a lot of pain.

Please pray with me that his last days are as comfortable and painless as possible and that his family, especially his kids, are comforted by God's great and boundless love.
